Ozone Discectomy

Injecting "OZONE" into the herniated disc is a useful, no-scalpel method that causes similar results. It is called ozone nucleolysis.

It is a very safe method. It has a success rate of around 85%. It's a 10 minute attempt. The patient can return home that day.

The ozone nucleolysis method is a method that we apply in all hernia cases (whether ruptured or not), degenerated disc disease. We perform provocative discography, especially in cases that we think have discogenic pain, 7/10 pain under 15 psi pressure is our indication criterion in these cases.

The procedure is performed in the same technical possibilities of other nucleoplasty and nucleotomy attempts, the only method applied here is ozone. It is a safe application with almost no complications. Some patients feel temporary pain, heaviness and burning sensation after the procedure, discitis is among the complications that we do not see. As it is known, ozone is a very strong bacteria, virus and fungicide, so infection due to the process can be seen in very careless and sterilization conditions.
